As many of us know, Nike was born in Oregon, however the sportswear brand’s connection with New York City is a very special one. There is a cultural connection with roots as deep at the concrete that connects the long city blocks. The Air Force One will be forever New York’s shoe and the youth will always aspire to be like the professional athletes and the hometown heroes that sport the brand’s gear. To solidify this relationship, Nike has unveiled its brand new headquarters in the Big Apple. The six floor space covers 147-000 square feet and it is peppered with recycled materials, local hand-made furniture, and a rooftop garden. With a seating capacity of 400 spectators, its main attraction is its 4,000 square foot indoor basketball court, which will look to host high school teams, community partners, and local leagues.
