It all started with the Air Jordan I, a basketball sneaker that redefined the meaning of what was expected to be worn during games. This was a necessary accompaniment to a player whose playing style excited the fans and inspired millions. We all know his name of course, and its usually followed by “the GOAT.”
For those who may not know, Michael Jordan started learning how to golf around the same time as the Air Jordan I was in its design stages. With that being said, on February 10th, the Air Jordan I is set to return, not to the hardwood but to the golf course instead. The result is a shoe that looks exactly like the original but with golf-ready features. Most notably, extra padding to provide additional comfort and support around the ankle, Jumpman logo on the tongue, Nike Free-inspired outsole with soft spikes, and a fully waterproof upper.
The Air Jordan I golf shoe will be available in two colorways at select Nike retailers and online.
